Traffic increase |
|
Site traffic is now at around 100 visitors a day. Here's why:
- Lots of stuff from Google searches.
- Linked to in the Fun Motion forums.
Any ideas on how to make that number double?

-Banners (hopefully better than mine)
-Facebook group? (cou-losers-gh)
-Getting your link back on TIGSource
-Beating other blogs to the punch with updates/reviews (hopefully leading to linking to us when THEY post about it)
-on that note, perhaps we should try to get "press-versions" of games for previews. (JW did this in the past on SolMos, didn't he?)
-or perhaps some interviews about works-in-progress?
-in other words, we need stuff exclusive to PuppyBuckets
-we need more comments. I don't know how to get them without straight out asking/begging, but the more people comment, the more they will become attached to this site. (also, somehow make this forum popular, likely this is proportional to PuppyBuckets' popularity)
-the mention on FunMotion was amazing. When we get a good following, we will hopefully see more people recommending their peers, leading full circle to even more comments -> more interest -> more recommendations.
Once a community is built (really REALLY built), then we can worry about larger, more awesome items of business: (big/less-small interviews, cafe-press(? would require MUCH interest as well as a icon/slogan)=$money, which we can put back into the blog through giveaways/contests)
Hell, I know I'm dreaming unrealistically big. Probabaly (defiinately) way larger than I have any right to do. This is still your site, and your project. I am along for the ride, and will go where it takes me.
-just as a thought: free sex?

Wasn't really feeling those first three suggestions, but the fourth one is ace. I'm way more active when it comes to posting stuff now, so that alone should help interest grow.
If it ever gets really popular, advertising and perhaps a dot com domain with the blog run through Wordpress are where I'll take the site.
And don't think you're just along for the ride, your posts have generated just as much, if not more, interest than mine
Speak of the devil, comments appear to be increasing a little already!
